WakaStart isn't a startup that had an idea in a garage. It's the distillation of 25 years of industrial software development, of projects delivered for companies that couldn't afford to get it wrong — and of a conviction forged on the ground: security must be in the code from day one, not fixed afterwards.
The origins
"Poorly secured software isn't cheaper software. It's a time bomb for your client."
Denis Schirra founds JDS Conseil in 2004 in La Chevrolière, in the Loire-Atlantique region. From the outset, the philosophy is clear: build software that holds up — technically, in terms of security, and contractually. Not improved prototypes sold as production-ready.
For 20 years, JDS Conseil develops and integrates software solutions for companies that cannot afford to get it wrong — industrial groups, sensitive businesses, organisations where a security flaw or a service outage isn't a technical incident, it's a corporate crisis.
These years on the ground forge a conviction that becomes obsessive: the real cost of software isn't measured at delivery. It's measured over its first 5 years in production — and by what unaddressed technical debt costs those who trusted its creators.

"We spent 20 years developing software for companies that couldn't afford to fail. We learned what it costs to bolt security on afterwards. WakaStart is the answer to that question: how do we make sure security is never an afterthought?"
The journey
Founding of JDS Conseil
Denis Schirra creates JDS Conseil in La Chevrolière. Initial purpose: developing and integrating software solutions for industrial and sensitive businesses. The rule from day one: only deliver what holds up.
Industrial projects & security expertise
JDS Conseil builds up hands-on experience on high-security-stakes projects. The team develops rare expertise: building software systems that must simultaneously handle scale, withstand security audits, and remain maintainable over 10 years. Projects for leading industrial groups forge the standards that will become Cybercoding.
AI enters the equation
The team begins integrating the first generative AI tools into the development pipeline. Not to replace developers — to amplify their precision. It gradually becomes clear: AI makes it possible to systematically do what humans sometimes did. Security patterns can be built into generation, rather than added during correction.
The birth of Cybercoding
The team formalises the method born of 20 years of practice: Cybercoding. A forge of AI agents that generates code while natively embedding ISO 27001, NIS2 security rules and architectural best practices — never left to the discretion of whoever is coding. Security is no longer an option you switch on. It's built into the generation itself.
The launch of WakaStart
Backed by the Cybercoding method, proven in-house, JDS Conseil creates WakaStart: the platform that makes the industrial-grade quality once reserved for large corporates accessible to any startup, scale-up or software publisher. A fixed price, sovereign OVH France infrastructure, and ISO 27001-ready code from day one.
First clients, first proof points
Horsees, Documalis, TopFlix Academy — WakaStart's first projects prove the method under real-world conditions. SaaS products delivered in under 5 weeks, NIS2-ready architecture, clients signing their first major accounts on the strength of compliance. The method delivers on its promises. The adventure truly begins.
The founding conviction
After 20 years of projects, the conclusion is clear-cut. The projects that end well — the ones that pass audits, that scale, that don't generate security incidents in production — aren't the ones where security was neatly bolted on afterwards. They're the ones where security was built in from the very first line of specification.
The problem: no one had found a way to make this systematic and accessible. Native security was reserved for projects with a dedicated CISO budget, a Lead Dev expert in SecDevOps, and 18 months ahead of them. In other words, large corporates.
Cybercoding changes this equation. By formalising 20 years of best practices into a forge of AI agents, we made possible what wasn't before: generating industrial-grade, secure and certifiable code from day one — for any B2B SaaS, regardless of size.
100% of projects that showed critical flaws in production already had them in development. Security cannot be improvised after going live.
The projects with the heaviest technical debt weren't developed by bad developers. They were developed under time pressure — with no method for moving fast without cutting corners on quality.
AI alone doesn't solve this problem. A Vibe Coding tool generates code fast — but without security rules, without multi-tenant architecture, without NIS2 compliance. AI amplified by a method, yes. AI alone, no.
A forge of AI agents that generates code by systematically applying ISO 27001, NIS2 rules and architectural best practices — not on request, not as an option. Always. No exceptions.
The team
Every WakaStart project is led by experts who have worked on systems where mistakes are costly. This is the same rigour from the field that we apply to your SaaS.
Denis Schirra
Founder & Architect
25 years of experience in industrial software development. Architect of the Cybercoding method. Technical lead on all complex projects.
Lead Dev & CISO
Security & Architecture
Security architect responsible for the free audit and the validation of every build. Point of reference for ISO 27001, NIS2 and HDS. Dual-Control on all production releases.
Run & Ops team
Delivery & 24/7 Support
The team that keeps your SaaS running in production — monitoring, zero-downtime updates, 24/7 on-call cover. They don't sleep either when your production environment breaks.
What we believe in
These principles aren't displayed on a meeting-room wall. They show up in every contract, every delivery, every decision we make on your projects.
Security is not an option
Every WakaStart SaaS natively embeds ISO 27001, NIS2 rules and architectural best practices. It's not an add-on service. It's how we code.
The fixed price isn't a gimmick
We commit to a figure before starting. It doesn't move after signature. If we got our estimate wrong, that's our problem, not yours. That's what committing to an outcome means.
France as a choice, not a constraint
100% of our infrastructure is hosted in France on OVH. Not because we're forced to. Because we believe your clients' digital sovereignty is a serious matter that deserves a serious answer.
Your code belongs to you
Everything we generate belongs entirely to you — from day one. Standard TypeScript/Nest.js, maintainable by any team. Zero technology lock-in. Contractually guaranteed.
We tell the truth in the free audit
If your architecture doesn't need WakaStart, we'll tell you. If your project is outside our scope, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a deal than give you false hope on a project we can't do well.
We stay after delivery
We're not an agency that delivers and disappears. The Run team is on 24/7 call. Updates happen with zero downtime. We treat production as if it were our own.
The best way to understand what we can do for you is the free audit. 48 hours, free, and you'll have a clear view of what your project requires — and whether we're the right fit to build it.
